About Peter Rubins

I have been restoring old houses in the Lewiston, Auburn area since 1972 with my business partner, Dave Rogers, drogers design. We have had the privilege of saving the Edward Little House, The Garcelon House and the Hasty House in Auburn. I have been an environmentalist since my youth. I helped form the Androscoggin River Committee in the late 70's, to help clean up one of the top 10 polluted rivers in the country. The Androscoggin runs through downtown Lewiston, Auburn, and now is becoming the gem of our twin cities that it deserves. We helped pass the "Color, Odor and Foam" bill that basically put the paper companies on notice to clean up, or else. From this formed the Androscoggin Land Trust that saved thousands of acres along the river, of which has become "Riverlands State Park", in Turner, Me. and continues to promote the recreational use and joy of the River. I have been the marketing and sales arm for New England of Worth Sports for the past 40 years and have recently retired after a great run with a great company. I loved the travel through all the nooks and crannies, little towns and big cities, and the wonderful clients in all six states. I have helped raise two sons, now adults, that are the pride of my life. I have had the privilege to be a member of GROW LA, a non profit group of citizens that "strives to create a vibrant urban landscape and its creative integration into a living and sustainable Lewiston, Auburn." I now work with Assured Solar Energy, out of N. Yarmouth, and do marketing and sales, and work on my woodlot every chance I can.
