About Peter Ruiter

Continuous improvement of processes, systems and collaboration is the common thread in my career. I get energy from creating meaningful work, eliminating waste and realizing structural improvements - with an eye for both results and people. Through my analytical skills and broad experience, I connect strategy with practice, and abstract goals with concrete action. I work independently or together with teams on sustainable impact: from understanding complex issues to improving processes, quality, customer satisfaction and employee involvement. My approach is people-oriented and pragmatic. One of the lean principles that I apply every day -'Go see, ask why, show respect'- is a critical success factor for me in every change. I feel most at home in production environments where tangible products are made - from high mix/low volume to series production - and where technology and people together make the difference.
