Materials engineer currently working in the flexible packaging industry with a keen interest in developing new test methods to elucidate the processing, structure, processing relationships of materials, and using that information to deliver efficient, sustainable materials science solutions to customers. My current work involves polymers for flexible packaging and laboratory administration, but I have an abiding interest in materials in all their forms including metals, ceramics, and biomaterials as well as a perpetual fascination with characterization methods such as microscopy, spectroscopy, thermal analysis, rheology, chromatography, and macroscale testing. Microstructure is the missing link between atoms and properties that makes clear the why behind all of the materials we use in every day life; I hope to contribute to the field which has been a candle in the dark to me; illuminating the hidden details of everyday objects and explaining the workings of the world.
