About Peter Sanders

I am Research Scientist with 15 years industry experience and a PhD in Engineering Research. My role as Senior Researcher is diverse with my activities including- Client Liaison and development- Preparation of bidding documents and funding applications- The development of research portfolios and project level studies- Data science, bespoke programming, data analytics, and database management- The production of technical reports, peer reviewed papers, and presentations (at international conferences)- Experimental design and implementation- Technical advisor to the British Standards Institute and CEN. I enjoy solving problems and continually challenge myself to provide creative and innovative solutions. My main achievements to date are- Earning a PhD through Ulster University in my spare time and through correspondents- Conducting a successful proof of concept study for the digitization of highway asset management- The development of statistical tools for the improvement of road user safety- Bidding for, and winning, a £1m research project from the European Commission- Developing a toolkit for the accreditation of highway asset management equipment.
