About Peter Schwier

I consider myself to be a well-rounded programmer. I am as comfortable talking with people as I am working in C#, Java, Javascript, or other languages. I started programming before I entered high school and have continued to expand my knowledge to this day. During high school I designed and developed a program that replaced a pen and paper method of registering students for classes that the school continued to use after I graduated. In fact, they contacted me while I was in college to help install it for another school in the area. The classes I took in college to get my Bachelors in Computer Science introduced me to many new languages (Haskel, Python, C, ADA, and Ruby) and helped me refine my style beyond what I developed on my own. I am currently working as a Consultant at CGI, Inc. working as a member of a team to design and develop custom solutions to fit our customer's needs. I have continued to research and learn about new platforms and technologies both in response to current development tasks and in response to my own curiosity.
