I have recent experience working for a German automotive supplier, where I was a part of the advanced purchasing segment of the business, as a costing engineer. In this position, I was responsible for cost optimization reporting and analysis, RFQ routing for materials and components, supplier quality management topics, and logistics activities. In addition, I met with and collaborated with supplier teams to discuss ongoing or future business opportunities. You'll likely also noticed my 'career break’, though it was quite the opposite of a break. I'm extremely grateful to have cared for my mother during a terminal illness battle, and for the profound lessons learned through that journey—lessons in perspective, empathy, and some serious resilience. Now, with the legacy of those insights, I continue to strive to make me and the people around me better. My recent experience has further sharpened my leadership, costing data analytics, change management, finance, and negotiation skills for just that. With experience specialized in supply chain management, sales, economic development, and business development, I genuinely love turning complex challenges into opportunities for meaningful successes. I bring a mix of strategic thinking, attention to detail, creativeness, competitive spirit, problem solving, and genuine relationship-building to the table. Beyond the numbers, it's about creating connections that last. I am passionate about business, and I bring a wealth of experience to make an impact. In my personal life, I am a husband, an avid language learner/speaker (Deutsch), fly fisherman, kayaker, baseball fan (Go Yankees!), and uncle!
