Even with 26 years in the financial services arena, 2008 left me with a cynical feeling of mistrust at what is considered normal in our business. The S&P 500 had suffered a 10 year losing streak and with some once greatly respected names distant memories or still in tatters, I realized I had to find a better way than what we all think of as normal. I wanted a strategy to mitigate risk and to find an alternative to Wall Street’s version of asset allocation. My intention is to know a person's financial needs and solve what we can. My philosophy in every part of this business revolves around mutual trust, keeping friends and clients aware of what is happening to impact markets, preservation of principal, growth of capital and a strategy to move to the sidelines in volatile periods. Transparency is important to me, I want my clients to understand what is in their portfolio and why I believe they should hold each position. I demonstrate a clear investment strategy where I employ technical and fundamental research to run retirement, equity, mutual funds, fixed income, Closed-End and ETF accounts.
