About Peter Sinclair

I am a seasoned public affairs and communications professional with a distinguished career spanning public service, government, and the military. I am currently serving as the Public Information Officer for the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), where I focus on enhancing transparency and strengthening community connections. My career in public service began with my time as a U.S. Army veteran, including combat tours in Afghanistan and Iraq. Following my military service, I transitioned to government, where I was a Digital Communications Manager at USAID from March 2018 to March 2020. In this role, I built a comprehensive digital communication strategy that engaged a global workforce of and produced the agency's flagship podcast. From March 2020 to July 2025, I served as a Public Affairs Specialist at the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). During my time there, I led strategic communication initiatives that resulted in the announcement of over $1 billion in grants and amplified pandemic-related information to the public. I also advised senior leadership on media engagements and crisis communication. I am committed to advancing public service missions by fostering transparency, empowering teams, and delivering impactful messaging.
