Peter Smith is currently a Producer for the PGA Tour, Golf Channel and PGA Tour radio and other various projects. Former Executive Producer for Directv's Fantasy Zone channel part of NFL Sunday Ticket and former Coordinating Producer for Activision/Blizzard's Call of Duty League. Also worked on other Directv shows such as the Dan Patrick Show, Rich Eisen Show, BKB and PGA golf. While at CBS he created Fantasy Fantasy Football Today and also created and executive produced the Verizon Halftime report which brought the first broadcast quality NFL halftime show to the Internet He also launched "Conversations with CBS Sports" which featured James Brown interviewing athletes and celebrities on the latest in sports. He was charged with management of CBS Sports broadband TV network and video content. During this tenure CBSSports.com experienced significant growth in distribution and viewership. He was responsible for taking CBS Sports.com and their video to the next level and oversaw many groundbreaking events in the online Sports world including the Super Bowl,The Masters and the NFL Draft also creating the 1st broadcast quality halftime show for March Madness On Demand. He has been nominated for multiple Emmy Awards. He joined CBS in 2006 after a 6 year run at HBO where he focused on HBO Sports Digital Properties as well as HBO Original Programming and worked with the likes of David Chase and Ilene Landress of The Sopranos, Alan Ball of Six Feet Under and Howard Klein. He won a Webby Award for his work on Carnivale “Creating the Scene.” Before that he worked his way up in Sports Television production with ABC, HBO, Turner and CBS Sports. Peter attended Canisius College in Buffalo on a baseball scholarship and then played a few years in the minors and various independent leagues. He now lives in South Orange, NJ with his wife Julia and his 2 girls, Lucy and Zoe and their Shiba Inu Reggie.
