About Peter Spira

I'm a financial advisor and Sr. Vice President - Wealth Management at Morgan Stanley. During my 20+ years, in Buffalo NY, I've enjoyed advising a diverse clientele including individual families, non-profits and businesses. After achieving the professional distinction of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER(TM)- CFP, I began focusing my practice on family owned business transition and succession planning, as I have seen the growing need and subsequent benefits to all involved parties. I earned a degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Rochester, and worked as a chemical engineer for both Laidlaw Environmental Services, Inc. and CRA Services, Inc. I am also proud to have served in the U.S. Navy on board the fleet ballistic missile submarine USS Francis Scott Key. During my military career, I held a position as assistant to the Chief of Public Affairs at the U.S. Pacific Command at Camp Smith Honolulu, Hawaii. I am a past board member of W.N.Y Planned Giving Consortium. In addition, I serve as Chaplain for the Buffalo Base of the United States Submarine Veterans and Trustee of the Foundation for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Buffalo. I live in the City of Buffalo with my lovely wife and children.
