In my role as a Business Developer/Procurement Partner at FLSmidth, I focus on strategic procurement, supplier relationships, and driving sustainability initiatives within the organization. My role allows me to combine my analytical skills and strategy experience to create and implement suitable strategies and procurement improvements in the organization. It further allows me to fulfill a personal commitment of reducing environmental impact, as I work closely with suppliers to implement Science-Based Targets (SBTi) and optimize the supply chain for greater efficiency and sustainability. I am involved in the Recycling Department, where I help shape market strategies and provide data-driven recommendations for optimization initiatives. Before joining FLSmidth, I gained invaluable leadership experience as a Lieutenant in the Royal Danish Navy, where I was responsible for leading teams, coordinating complex operations, and making critical decisions under pressure. My time in the Navy sharpened my leadership and communication skills, and taught me to prioritize tasks, think critically, and manage high-stakes situations with composure. These skills have translated seamlessly into my corporate career, where I manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and lead strategic projects with precision. My journey began at Copenhagen Business School, where I earned both a Master's and a Bachelor's degree. Throughout my academic career, I focused on developing expertise in strategic leadership, stakeholder management, and business communication, alongside a deep interest in sustainability, proven by my thesis work on reducing internal CO2 emissions for a Danish company, which highlights my ability to connect business strategy with sustainable practices. With a diverse background that spans military leadership and discipline, business development, and sustainability, I am driven by challenges and always looking for opportunities to leverage my skills in strategy and sustainability to create meaningful impact.
