Liaising with our in country local partners, especially during a time of natural disaster (floods, forest fires, earthquakes) to more man made issues (airline strikes, political difficulties and airspace closure) through constant monitoring of FCDO and USO travel warnings, national and international media outlets. Drawing on my back ground as a veteran having served in the RAF, as a Nurse experienced in strategic and tactical Aeromedical Evacuation having undertaken Operational tours include Practice Nurse/Hospital Liaison in the Former Republic of Yugoslavia (Bosnia), strategic aeromedical evacuation from Sierra Leone, three tours of Iraq including Immediate Response, SNCO IC Aeromedical Evacuation and aeromedical evacuation from Afghanistan. Involved in Aeromedical Evacuation with two postings as Aeromedical Evacuation Liaison Officer (AELO) for both 1RGR and 2RGR, Brunei. Bookended by two posting as SNCO flight nurse, Aeromedical Evacuation Control Centre co-ordinating and managing the worldwide strategic AE service for the UK, including co-ordinating Critical Care Air Support Teams missions to both Op Telic and Herrick including Op Panchai Palang during the initial posting. In-between postings with the Royal Ghurka Rifles, a posting to the AE Sqn, Tactical Medical Wing assisting in co-ordination of and as SME flight nurse for the Air Transportable Isolator moves during the Ebola Virus Disease outbreak. Having gained experience in practice management, managing the PCMF Seria Brunei with a PAR of over four GPs and CMT providing jungle extraction for the resident battalion and students undertaking jungle training. Further education includes BSc in Defence Healthcare studies.
