Technical Expertise/Engineering • Guidance Engineer responsible for highly critical National Security Missions. Develop Mission Parameters, provide Orbital Accuracy estimates, and review real time test and flight data. • Provided technical oversight for Galaxy Express Mission Design items. The wide range of topics include trajectory design/optimization, closed loop guidance trajectories, mass properties reporting, guidance and navigation flight software requirements, guidance accuracy analysis, mission destruction and fragmentation studies, and critical antenna coverage analysis. Problem Investigation and Resolution • Key contributor to a series of intensive multi-discipline meetings with internal and external agencies leading to completion of a major milestone that allowed for a return to flight status after a flight failure. • Contributed in discovering, analyzing, and solving an issue related to Centaur Flight Constants during launch cycle. This constant had a direct impact to Mission Success. • Reviewed and improved the process involved in generation, validation, and implementation of Centaur Flight Software code and constants. Communication/Interpersonal Skills • Recognized as an accomplished presenter of complicated technical data to peers and management. Several noted occasions presentations were to foreign nationals who gave very positive feedback afterwards. • Balanced work between two separate rocket programs and multiple missions simultaneously. Maintained mission critical deadlines during the launch cycles. • Designed Guidance, Control, and Navigation real-time telemetry screens for Plus Count Team Day of Launch Operations. Derivatives of this screen were used for twelve Titan IV/Centaur missions. • Authored first Titan IV/Centaur Mission Specific Guidance Targeting and Navigation Error Analysis Report that set the standard for all following Titan IV /Centaur missions that followed.
