About Peter Sukosd

Before working as Company Secretary of Auchan Retail Hungary I worked as Legal, Compliance and Public Affairs Director at eMAG Hungary for nearly four years and I also worked for five years at METRO Cash & Carry Hungary as Head of Legal, Compliance and Public Affairs and as Head of Competition and Antitrust at DLA Piper Hungary from 2019 on. Previously, from 2012, I worked as a senior legal manager at British American Tobacco responsible for Hungary and Croatia. After graduating from university I started working at the Hungarian Competition Authority where I was appointed to be the deputy-director of the Antitrust Directorate from 2012 on. As for my international work experience, from 2007 to 2009, I was working as a policy analyst for the Competition Division of OECD in Paris and from 2005 to 2006 as a national expert for the European Commission, DG Competition. I am completing my Ph.D. studies at University of Pécs, Department of Law, International and European Law Section, where my main research areas are the assessment of buyer power issues, extraterritorial application of EU competition law, future chances of an international antitrust code and the analysis of existing bilateral and multilateral competition agreements.
