About Peter Swarth

Peter Swarth has been a criminal defense attorney for over 20 years with extensive trial experience in both Federal, State and Juvenile Court for both misdemeanors and felonies. He also specializes in DUI and DWI defense. He is passionate about the law and defends his clients with equal amounts of concern and protecting their rights under the law. He is steadfast in his belief that everyone has the right to an aggressive and to have a fair hearing if so charged. A graduate of UCLA and Loyola Law School, Mr. Swarth was admitted to the California State Bar in 1989. He is a certified specialist in criminal law defending the rights of the accused. Attorney Swarth has also distinguished himself in the field of Criminal Law and Trial Skills, having taught this area of practice for 15 years at the University of West Los Angeles Law and Glendale College of Law. He has also been a guest lecturer at UCLA presenting Psychology and the Law. He has been a frequent lecturer at Public Defender Conferences on the subjects of Infant Homicide, Drug Rehabilitation and the Law, and Learning Disabilities and the Law. And Peter Swarth has been published in the Hastings Comm/Ent (Communications / Entertainment) Law Journal. He is active in the Los Angeles County Bar Association as Chairman of the IPEL section.
