Significant Australian and US practical experience in the theories and practice of Customised Employment and skills focused, community based services This continues to inform my strong interest in assisting people with significant disabilities get ready for, find and maintain community-based employment and the development of an inclusive life that reflects culturally valued norms and patterns Significant experience in the ongoing personal and organizational struggle across all life domains to ensure the transition of people from segregated, congregated programs towards inclusive lifestyles, especially for people who are or have left school. Experience across a wide range of Not for Profit Boards of Management including a regional branch of a national crisis support volunteer organisation, a family focused inclusion advocacy service, a residential service for people with a disability, national disability peak industry bodies and the Australian Board of an international rights organisation.
