About Peter Tapio

What is a Special Specialist? During my various careers, I have had to solve very interesting issues in multiple fields. Studying and working at Aalto Design Factory, I spent years coaching multidisciplinary projects and solving wicked problems. I learned design thinking methods from some of the world’s top experts and did countless repetitions of design research tasks and product development activities. I have attended hundreds of hours of cyber security lectures and studied the inner workings of integrated circuits, cryptography, and computer systems. I coordinated product development activities at CERN Idea Square with university students and physicists. Moved on to complex systems research, working with top mathematicians in multiple universities, working on network graphs, neural networks, agent based simulations, and novel mathematical systems. My focus has always been to understand how things work and to see a practical view of what can be done. Therefore, I can assess projects and take on roles that provide maximum benefit based on my knowledge. I would describe my main function as understanding things and helping people make the best possible decisions.On my spare time, I make art and create installations for various events around the world, including Burning Man and other creative events. Computer security is also a long standing hobby.
