I have been involved in various roles within the Post Tensioning industry for over 40+ years. I worked and progressed from site operations through to Supervision of major PT projects and eventually into High level management positions in many different and challenging places in the world including Australasia, United Kingdom, South East Asia, New Zealand and UAE.Presently employed by CARES Australia in the Role of Technical Officer - Post Tensioning & Lead Auditor to ensure Post Tensioning Contractors and PT Kit manufacturers/suppliers providing a Quality Management System that complies with the requirements of ISO9001 and the Australian Post Tensioning Scheme, which was introduced in 2021, in collaboration the Post Tensioning Institute of Australia.Previous work and skills experience includes:Construction Management of Post Tensioning systems including the Installation, Stressing and Grouting of Bonded and unbonded PT kits.Internal Auditing of IMS and Post Tensioning operations including Safety, Environment and Quality controlTraining of site personal in all aspects of Post Tensioning operations with affiliation to the PTIA in delivering Post Tensioning Training packages.Quantity Surveying and procurement of Post Tensioning materials, components and specialized equipment.Employment of site personal, management positions, Engineers and administration staff.Development and Implementation of QA and OHS systems throughout the business unit.Negotiation of tenders and review of contract details.Review of all accounting aspects of the company.Throughout my career in Post Tensioning I have enjoyed immensely the versatility, design flexibility and construction methods of the PT industry and the exceptionally talented Engineers and Construction specialists who have shaped some of the best buildings in the world of Concrete Construction.
