About Peter Tyko

First and foremost, I love to work in cyber security as it covers nearly every aspect of IT technologies starting from hardware, software, databases, web application ending with IoT and other stuff. I like to learn new things and cybersec gives endless possibilities to learn each day something new. But most and foremost making all those things safe for everyone. During my career i had the chance to work on different positions starting from the bottom as an helpdesk engineer and then as a application and project specialist. Those positions created foundation for understanding technical but also personal aspect of IT environments. My next step was team leader for IT outsourcing where a get another perspective of companies IT mostly from financial perspective. Coupled with these experiences i started as a director of customer services Business unit in one of the largest CEE IT integrator where i worked in multi-national teams and projects. After this successful ride couple with experiences from C-level environment a decided to focus more on specific domain in cyber security field. In last couple of years i gained endless experiences how difficult but also challenging this environment may be. My primary responsibilities are: Company strategy development Sales management Services and portfolio development Inovative offering/skills development Team management and development Internal and external C-level management advisory Vendor management My interests are: Cybersec law in Slovakia and EU Cybersec standards and best practices Cyber risk management Security awareness program Security operation centers Cyber threats Vulnerability management Incident response
