I love challenges, hunting Heisenbugs, resolving strange performance degradation, building websites with the latest techniques. My goal is to deliver an awesome product in both user experience and technique's used. Or kill that annoying bug with a good smash on the head. Over the years, I've been thrown into the deep to figure stuff out. Build this, fix that, figure out why this or that. From that experience, I learned, ALOT. There's little I shy away from, fixing bugs with 'evil' hacks or patch work, to refactoring pages of code. Designing complex systems, with many relations, incorporating the customer wishes as we go. Deploying to production, staging. Making a mid-flight 360 because "o shit we forgot about that"-last-minute-fix. As a support guy, I've been the contact for our customers when stuff went wrong. Sometimes explaining how they could fix it themselves, sometimes going into the deep: terminals flashing, monitoring systems complaining, I dived into the problem to resolve the customers issue. I handle stressful situations calmly and stay focused until my job is done. As a developer-consultant-projectleader, sometimes all at once, I've sat with customers discussing their wishes, explaining complex technology/issues in layman terms, offering alternatives or simplifications. Making mockups, diagrams, models, functional and technical designs. Always combining my love for technology, with the customer's grand design and wishes.
