About Peter van de Graaf

After finishing technical college at Antwerp followed by an additional year on automation, I started at 19y a seagoing career as an engineer on different types of ships from apprentice to chief engineer with 2 y at the Antwerp nautical college in between. I joined Lloyd's Register as a basic surveyor in 2/1989, in as senior surveyor and since 2008 as surveyor in charge for Flushing and from 2013 also for Antwerp. Since 7/2021 I took the role of Senior M&O representative for LR in Belgium and Decarbonisation Business Development Manager, in this role I support Clients and colleagues in guidance on projects related to alternative fuels in the shipping and ocean related industry. As senior representative for Belgium I support Clients and represent LR at all levels in the Community.
