About Peter van Tamelen
As a research and applied scientist, I was often more interested in HOW to get the data rather than actually getting the data and doing something with it. After 2 decades in the biological sciences, I finally decided to make the leap to engineering. Currently, my work has two facets. Primarily, I design and build automation tooling for manufacturing companies. Secondly, I work with field scientists to develop innovative equipment that allow them to get the data that they need. I have enough experience working in field situations that I can readily anticipate the needs and desires of filed workers, allowing me to design equipment that is both highly useful and that can withstand the rigors of field use.
