Excited to change things for a better future. Impossible now just means more work. Operational management is something else in a political setting. Doing the right thing and staying true to myself has been a great guide. It doesn't mean a smooth ride tho. my strong helicopter view and analytical, systemic approach helps me in understanding our complex environment and explaining why I chose the route to lead by example. The route is open for deviations when properly explained and the end goal is still achievable. I believe firmly in being a coach and mentor and rely on my employees to choose their own route to their succes. Intrinsic motivation and self reflection are the most important tools a manager has and looks for. Optimizing data to maximize performance and availability through visual management has my special interest and a strong Business Intelligence backbone that sparks my interest. I always look behind the data, how was is it collected, is the data good enough to stand up to our expectations and demands, often we need to be more carefull. As a certified KT Resolve trainer and facilitator I help DUO to find the causes behind the problems and achieve operational excellence. After 17 years in the bobsleigh and skeletonsport as an athlete I now try to give back to the sports I love by being involved in sports administration within a committee within the IOC that tackles the athletes rights and responsibilities charter. Locally I am involved in a succesfull effort to save our village school and involved in a effort to expand our sport facilities and future proof them for all generations.
