Senior Management role within the Canal & River Trust, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer. Responsible for the Trust's interaction with HS2, its restoration and hydrology activities, waterway acquisitions its relationship with people and organisations who want to undertake work on, under, over or adjacent to the Trust's waterways, and the Trust's team that secure funding from external partners. Responsibilities include Management of a multi-disciplinary team across England & Wales Project Sponsor role on restoration projects Key stakeholder role on other projects promoted by internal sponsors Management of works undertaken by Third Parties on or adjacent to the Trust's estate with the focus on allowing third parties to achieve their goals whilst protecting the waterways Supporting Regional Directors to help them achieve their objectives National technical lead on interface with High Speed 2 Ltd (HS2) to mitigate the effect of HS2 on the Trust’s assets and to achieve the best possible solution for the Trust as a result of HS2. The Trust's point of contact for waterway owning organisations wishing to transfer infrastructure to the Trust. Working with external funders to secure investment in the waterways Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders Championing innovation in the use of new products and techniques where they add value.
