As a former founder and President of Linda’s Chicken, and Vice-President of Charlie Brown’s and the Office Restaurant Group, Weissbrod brings extensive first-hand knowledge of restaurant site selection, operations, construction, franchising, and dealmaking to KW Commercial. Weissbrod has in-depth market knowledge and expertise in many segments of commercial real estate including leasing, broker relationships, zoning, DEP approvals, reconstruction, entitlements, 1031 exchanges, and final sale/leasing of commercial, industrial and retail properties, residential development, and sales. He has broad deal experience managing multiple project schedules and teams including legal and finance, office, adaptive reuse, investment sales, industrial, and raw land.Peter brings an innovative, client-centric approach to every deal. During his impressive 35-year career, he has pioneered redevelopment of Newark's South Ward and Plainfield, New Jersey building new market-rate multi-family housing. Negotiated redevelopment agreements and coordinated municipal approvals. Constructed over 350 new multi-family homes, totaling $110M in sales, producing 125 new jobs and new tax revenues. Initiated first-time home-buyer financing programs, raised $7M in equity and successfully developed streamlined processes for managing project costs, quality and final production. Additionally, Weissbrod supervised a team of experts to produce award-winning communities and created innovative contractor incentive hiring programs.Past representations include Clean Rite Laundromats, Boston Market, Ben Tires, Gold Medal Gym Centers, vacant land, multi-family, shopping and strip center owners, and restaurants. Weissbrod is a member of NAIOP, ICSC. He holds an MBA from the prestigious Baruch College Zicklin School of Business, and a BA from Swarthmore College. Peter currently resides in Scotch Plains with his wife, Linda, where he is an active lay volunteer and former President with the JCC of Central New Jersey.
