About Peter Werren

As a qualified CA(SA) and a manger at KPMG with multiple years of audit experience, I have had the opportunity to audit a diverse range of private and public companies across various industries, including manufacturing, telecoms, agriculture, and national corporate franchises. I am well-versed in applying the globally recognized International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) framework, ensuring accurate and transparent financial reporting for our clients. One of my standout experiences was working on a significant audit engagement for a large South African entity that manufactures a variety of alcoholic products, including established wine, gin, vodka, and liquor. This experience allowed me to gain valuable insights into the complexities of auditing in the beverage industry and further honed my expertise in applying the IFRS framework to this particular industry. Moreover, I also thoroughly enjoyed my time working with a military telecommunications provider, which provided me with a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities of auditing in the defense industry. This engagement further enhanced my skills in applying the IFRS framework to this particular sector. As a hardworking professional, I have consistently exceeded expectations, as demonstrated by my "exceeds expectations". I am eager to take on new and exciting challenges and contribute to the success of future audit engagements.I am an outgoing, confident outspoken person that loves engaging with new people and taking on new tasks/adventures.
