About Peter White

I conduct applied research in communication technology innovations and how they are adopted by organizations and society. My research goal is to develop insights by investigating what we do with technology and what it does to us. My consulting goal is to help leaders effectively manage change and innovation by applying these insights from the fields of communication and management. My experience comes from 20 years in research and consulting in many areas such as strategy, management, blockchain, big data, social media, the Internet, communications, moneyball or sports analytics, genomics, health, privacy, and policy. I enjoy learning what people are working on and helping them strategically, thoughtfully, and efficiently reach their personal and organizational goals. It’s important to me to translate my scientific research to a wide range of audiences. I’ve given many invited talks over the years to scholars, policy makers, practitioners, leaders, and the public in small groups and very large audiences. I’ve also appeared in the media hundreds of times in a range of news outlets such as the CBC, Global TV, CTV, City TV, LA Times, Globe & Mail, National Post, Associated Press, United Press International and many others.
