About Peter Wright

I have been back in the silicon industry for the past nine years, after leaving the video game industry. I have spent time with my biggest love of computers and that is in computer communications and protocols. For the past four years I have been the MCU32 Applications Tecnical Lead for Security. I deal with a mixture of hardware and software security architecture. I provide input to Silicon design and validation, and I lead the software architecture for security. Before I moved into embedded security I filled a very large gap in our team, acting as the Release Manager for our project and pushing for software engineering process improvement. For several years I took our documented but unfollowed Software Engineering process and automated it into the Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Bitbucket Server, Bamboo, Confluence). With the automation I have used the locks within the tool suite to ensure the process is followed. I have worked six years in the video game industry. I have experience with online game connectivity, systems and systems optimizations. My 'expert' level expertise is in in-game commerce when dealing with the Gen 3 consoles. I have experience with CDMA cellphones and base stations. I also have experience with creating distrubuted systems for testing, and architecting the protocols that link components together. I also have experience with Power Protection Relays. I am now moving away from telecommunications and moving into programming computer games. My goals are to become an expert at computer communications, and optimizing systems.
