About Petr Postulka

More than 8 years of strong experience in C# and Java development. Real expertise of designing and developing real-time, low latency and high concurrency financial applications. In 2013 I have cofounded DET Technologies, a technology company that provides software and consulting services to financial institutions. Before that I have gained extensive knowledge of the financial industry, including technical, analytical and business knowledge in positions below. Between 2011 and 2013 I was working for BNP Paribas in London as a member of Fixed Income team responsible for bonds & swaps market making infrastructure. My main contributions to department were a proposal, design and co-implementation of real-time low-latency distribution server and modular trading GUI framework used by 40+ traders based in London, New York, Tokyo, Singapore, Paris and Brussels. Both projects were accepted and recognized by management as a key improvements of the whole market making platform. Before I joined BNP Paribas I was working for 6 years for WOOD & Company, a leading brokerage firm in EMEA region. During that time I proposed, designed and implemented real-time monitoring system for distributed electronic trading infrastructure and co-authored and implemented trading platform GUI client with support for algorithmic trading and connectivity to main stock exchanges in EMEA region: Frankfurt, Vienna, Warsaw, Prague, Budapest, Dubai, Ljubljana and Sofia.
