Operational roles require meticulous work to ensure organizations function smoothly, but at the core, it is essential to align organizational goals with the broader vision and the people who help achieve them. I am passionate about music, education, and fostering communities that promote equity and sustainability. With solid experience in administration, I specialize in delivering high-quality services to nonprofits and underserved communities. My role at Quinteto Latino involved transitioning the organization's operations to the cloud and supporting its mission to promote music by Latino and Latin American composers, as well as advancing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion through performances, commissions, mentoring, and education. As the Program Manager for the Music4Schools program at the Community School of Music and Arts in California, I helped serve thousands of students, providing many with their only exposure to music education in elementary school. I believe nonprofits and educational institutions must operate efficiently and effectively to maximize their budgets without compromising their mission or quality of outcomes. I bring excellent administrative and analytical skills to help organizations assess operational effectiveness, improve procedures and productivity, and provide comprehensive administrative and operational support. My background in music performance and teaching offers valuable insights to music and education organizations, understanding both the employee and manager perspectives. I am adept at working with a diverse range of individuals, including administrators, performers, students, the public, and Board members. My approach focuses on identifying needs, setting achievable goals, and fostering collaboration, even when perspectives differ.
