About Peyton Cooper

I am currently I senior at Randolph-Macon College studying communication and journalism. As the Marketing Director for RMC's Commons Activities Board, my role involves overseeing and executing marketing strategies to promote campus events and activities. I work closely with the team to create engaging content, design promotional materials, and ensure all events are well-publicized across various platforms. This position sharpens my skills in communication, branding, and digital marketing, as well as my ability to work collaboratively within a team. As the Head Fundraising Chair of the RMC SERVE program, I lead initiatives aimed at raising funds for community service projects. I organize fundraising events, work with donors, and develop strategies to ensure financial goals are met. This role enhances my skills in project management, event coordination, and leadership, particularly in motivating and guiding others to meet fundraising targets. Additionally, as a Certified Trainer at Starbucks, I am responsible for training new employees, ensuring they understand company policies, customer service standards, and product knowledge. This experience builds my leadership skills, particularly in mentoring and developing others, as well as enhancing my ability to communicate effectively in fast-paced environments. I also have the privilege to be a part of the Lambda Phi Eta National Communication Honor Society and the Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership Society. Together, these positions contribute significantly to my professional development by honing my abilities in leadership, teamwork, communication, and strategic planning. The diverse experiences provide a strong foundation for both personal and career growth.
