About Phaedra Clarke

I started of in Hospitality, a career path I chose based on my ability to excel at making people happy from that sector. I always loved working in Food and Beverage and from front of house in F&B I then moved to back of house, dealing with the cost control aspects of F&B. Although this possition was not one I had actively set out to achieve, at 20 years old it was an incredible opportunity. Call it fate, or restlessness, at 23 I moved to Scotland to be Restaurant Reservations Host at Gleneagles, where there I began to realise that I needed a new challenge, that was when I became Executive Assistant at Monetics PTE LTD. Monetics gave me the opportunity to travel and grow. I was encouraged to make suggestions, work hard and become part of a team. From executive assistant I was soon training Bank Staff on Electronic Payment Systems and travelling the world. I still freelance for Monetics on a semi regular basis advising on training and UAT. In 2016 I started a fashion blog as a passion project - which unfortunately for personal reasons I had to close in 2018, and made the move to H&M, which would afford me the stability that being an international consultant could not provide. At this time I also begun to train as a yoga instructor with yoga alliance international. After i was qualified, I made the move to teaching pilates and Yoga full time - as my opportunities for growth in H&M in Greece were very few. In 2018 I was given the opportunity to move to Belgium where I could finally put my management skills and passion for team growth to the test as a Store Manager at Hunkemoller. After six months in the company as manager if a small store, I was moved to one of their three move stores in the west flanders region where I head a team of ten. I stayed there for two years, during COVID we faced many challenged bit got through. I had my daughter in the summer of 2021, and decided then that I would change my priorities. I downsized my ambitions and am now a sales advisor in the Ghent Flagship store at Hunkemöller. To put my management expertise to use, I am training ambassador for the store. My favourite thing about management is training staff and helping people grow, so its perfect! Alongside my Marketing MSc I also completed 500hrs Yoga TTC and my Pilates Reformer and Mat Certificate - while continuing to work of course. I give 110% to everything, and do not stop until my tasks are done.
