You show me an obstacle, I see possibilities.If 15 years ago someone would have told me - a tutor; I would be responsible for handling the performance marketing and digital strategy operations for 5 BU’s for a global brand like adidas. I would have laughed and said “I wish”.Today I not only do that, I do it in the lifestyle retail space (adidas Hype- project manager at Infosys) working on niche ecommerce and launches for icons like Beyonce, Kanye West, Pharell Williams.My job is to dig deep into the data, understand the sneakerhead subculture of our customers and their affinity for different products, how they interact with the platforms, how we share our merchandising and content optimizations along with growth and performance techniques to increase sales.We are the custodians of the relationship with the brand when sneakerheads are buying (attempting to buy) the exclusive drops. We have worked on the operations and strategy to launch platforms, pilot loyalty strategies, create nudges to manage sizing variations, automated backend processes to make them error free. It was a journey of doing 3 roles, each one a step up from the previous - twice I had two weeks to prove myself into a permanent position in the role. I have honed my skills as a collaborator and intrapreneur who can informally lead cross functional teams to realising a shared goal.We adapt to thrive - not survive is my mantra. I spent the first half of my career as techie in various avatars.
