About Phil Block

Phillip L. Block is an accomplished photographer, writer, and consultant. Following a professional career in corporate training, marketing, and technical communications, he now places emphasis on photography, speaking, WordPress web site development, and mentoring small business entrepreneurs and startups. Phil frequently presents his flagship photographic production, Lights of the Lakes. He offers his services as a keynote speaker to organizations with an interest in Great Lakes maritime history. Since 1990, Phil has presented Lights of the Lakes to historical societies, museums, boat and yacht clubs, churches, and civic organizations throughout Wisconsin and Michigan. As a volunteer, Phil serves on the Marketing committee of the USO of Wisconsin. He consulted on a makeover of the USO Wisconsin web site, and also serves as an event photographer for the USO. Phil owns and operates P.L. Block & Associates, LLC. His firm provides professional services to its clients, including photography, photo outings, web site design and content development, training interventions, and writing. In service to others, he also provides rehabilitated computers to deserving individuals and trains them on their use. Often these are senior citizens with no prior computer knowledge or skills.
