Phil Brown, a C-Level executive for early stage companies; is searching for the next new technology in the legal, accounting and public company area that will minimize customer time spent answering questions and enhance overall customer experiences. His focus is public company compliance reporting issues arising in periodic and transactional filings at the SEC and various SRO's. He brings an extensive knowledge of SEC filings, dataset acquisition, processes and regulatory framework. Brown is a pioneer in the development of electronic document retrieval and extraction algorithms. Brown is the former CEO and co-founder of Global Securities Information (GSI). Under his leadership, GSI introduced Livedgar which became the leading SEC research platform in the marketplace. GSI was acquired by Thomson Reuters in July of 2005. In 2010 he joined Intelligize and provided strategic guidance on product development and enhanced the Company’s customer focus supporting Intelligize' s assent to become the leading SEC research and compliance platform. Intelligize was sold to Lexis Nexis in 2016. Phil has over 30 years of experience in the legal and business information industry and has written two books on SEC Research. Brown holds a BS in Business Administration from Old Dominion University. He has won numerous awards for entrepreneurship and product innovation.
