About Phil Cooper

I am a VP of Manufacturing with years of experience within the aerospace, military and power generation industry sectors. I joined the Engineering team at Hunting Aviation in the UK and completed many projects including achieving the approval of a painted interior, to the manufacture and installation of Jetstream 41 interiors, while also reducing cycle-time from 45 to 28 days. I became as Senior Production Engineer in charge of a team of 10 Production Engineers developing processes for fabricated, machined, composite and fabric components to support the installation and manufacture of new aircraft. I was a manufacturing engineer at Boeing at Everett, WA, USA, supporting the manufacture of twin-aisle aircraft and team member transitioning processes from legacy to a new ERP system. At Alstom Power in Switzerland, I was part of the project team establishing a new design and manufacturing office using my planning, scheduling, budgeting skills to form cross-functional teams to ensure completion of multiple projects. After establishing the new office, I became the Manufacturing Group leader of a small team of Manufacturing Engineers controlling the sub-contract manufacture of all turbine components. In Canada, I worked as a Manufacturing Quality Engineer coaching component suppliers to use quality tools. I also audited suppliers to ensure processes met company ISO standards and regulatory requirements required for component manufacture, and new supplier introduction. Enthusiastic, forever developing my skills to embrace opportunity and change.
