WHY ON EARTH WOULD A BANJO-PLAYING ENGINEER WANT TO TALK TO ME ABOUT CHANGING THE WORLD!(Alright. you've probably never ACTUALLY wondered that.) But I can tell you the answer! You see…I've always been a bit of a renegade. I never played by ALL the rules, yet I hold a great deal of reverence and appreciation for life. My love for people and community continued to shine as I began my studies in the field of my choice—engineering. Not only did I become a highly skilled engineer, I taught engineering for a number of years to some of the most brilliant and dedicated students. YET-HERE’S WHAT YOU MIGHT NOT EXPECT. Even though my profession afforded me many amazing adventures over the years, some of my MOST favorite memories will always be… coming home to my wife and playing mandolin, while she accompanied me on the autoharp. Let me ask you—can you picture yourself in the midst of a deliciously warm, long summer night? Relaxing with your loved ones in the yard of a small town? Soaking up the essence of a beautiful sunset evening? Dancing with the breeze.feeling the goosebumps on your neck? Swaying to some soft, sweet music? Those precious moments are, by far, some of the most treasured and cherished of my life. After losing my wife to cancer years ago—SUDDENLY A NEW CHORD STRUCK WITHIN ME.
