About Phil Gadd

I received a 2 year degree in Tool & Die and started out my career as a Tool & Die Maker Apprentice and quickly worked my way up to Tool & Die Maker. By the time I was 25 I was the Machine Shop Supervisor over four plants in Greenwood, MS. I moved back closer to what I call home in Ripley MS in 1992 and I have been here ever since. I worked for numerous companies for 2 or 3 years to learn what ever I could then move on. In 1998 I went to work for Smith & Nephew as a machinist with the hopes of going back to school and having a job and company I could retire from but working as a machinist didn't leave much time for school. I took an entry level job as an Internal Auditor to get off the shop floor and off night shift. I was an auditor for 9 years traveling across the country and to England, Switzerland, Germany. I enjoyed the traveling but it still kept me from going back to school. In 2011 I took an entry level position as a process validation engineer and I was eventually able to start back to school and in 2016 I was able to compete my bachelor degree from Union University with a 3.85 GPA. I was promoted to Sr. Validation Engineer. In 2016 I was transferred to the cleaning validation department as a Sr. Cleaning Validation Engineer. In 2022 I accepted a position as Cleaning Validation Project Manager. I have never been afraid to fail. Well I was afraid, but I didn't let fear stop me from taking on a new opportunity to learn. Failures are some of life's best teaching points.
