About Phil Harder

Maybe I'm being simplistic but life comes down to 1) taking good advice, 2) solving problems, 3) and relating to those around you. As a young lad growing up on a Minnesota farm, I was encouraged to feed my interests beyond the often mundane activities of daily chores. Performing in classical concerts at the University, cross-country cycle trips, and communicating with amateur radio operators worldwide provided conduits to life outside the farm and started me on a lifetime of technical pursuits and meeting the people that helped me along the way. Melding my curiosity for electronics and computers has provided a unique and fantastic roadmap leading to technical management and leadership roles. A daily goal I have is to look for ways to help someone by automating or simplifying complex systems into something more easily understood or managed. This is my passion! When not behind a keyboard I'm talking to someone on my amateur radio using Morse code, running/biking/hiking somewhere in the Shenandoah Valley, learning Python, and looking for ways to restore natural habitat to my small piece of land.
