About Phil Morgan

My current responsibility is for creativity and innovation in teaching and learning at ICHK. I also teach and design curriculum for Human Technologies. I have extensive experience as Department Head (Languages, English and Theory of Knowledge) and Year Head. MA (distinction) in Creative Thinking from UCLAN. My most recent research interest centred around the design and evaluation of an analogue toolkit in educational planning processes. I'm interested in the factors which promote and inhibit creativity and in co-creativity in educational contexts. I enjoy co-creative work with the Hong Kong-based community of practice 'Brains on the Beach'. I am a Certified facilitator in the LEGO SERIOUS PLAY method and 'Thinking in and out of the Box ™, and an affiliate consultant with ELIAD group. I have collaborated with the Swedish company MethodKit.com to bring an analogue toolkit for educational change and innovation to market. I have also successfully launched a Kickstarter for 'INCUB-8'- a creative thinking toy. I take the opportunity to facilitate and co-facilitate processes for organisational change wherever possible and particularly enjoy working with diverse teams who are looking to enhance their creative capacity.
