I believe my role is to listen and work with clients to help them understand where they are in life, and to help them achieve what they are looking to achieve, both personally and financially. I believe you can’t achieve the personal without making sure the financial goals are understood. My role is to work with my clients to establish solutions and work with them to make sure their outcomes are achieved. I like meeting people and I like having a positive involvement in their personal and financial lives. I want my clients to have trust in me, and the knowledge and expertise I bring to the table, so they are confident I can make a difference to their lives. I want them to enjoy my company and if they were standing around the BBQ that they’d say I provide very good advice and service. I’m motivated in my personal life to get the most enjoyment out of it for myself and my family. In my professional life I’m motivated by meeting nice people, listening to them and offering an opinion and solution for their areas of concern. Providing advice and solutions for their problems and working with them to achieve the solution is a powerful motivator for me. I’ve had many of my clients say they trust me completely and that makes me feel really good as I believe that is the highest praise they can give me. From this I know that I’m doing something worthwhile. Everything I do is about building trust and long-term relationships with the client so my staff and I can do the things we need to do, to help their situation. It’s about telling them both the good and the bad news, and not hiding anything from them. I work with my clients to help them get through the complexities in their lives. If they are a client then I need to be responsive to them.
