He is internationally regarded as a highly versatile and creative player who appears in all kinds of diverse settings. Under the broad category of 'Jazz' he has worked with a range of artists from Barbra Streisand, Maceo Parker to Django Bates & Kenny Wheeler as well as leading his own acclaimed projects featuring such fine artists as Mark Turner & David Liebman, Billy Hart etc & co-leading the seminal band 'Partisans' with Julian Siegel for 21 years! He is also very well known for his work with partner the great singer/songwriter Christine Tobin.
