Leading Pastoral Care and Safeguarding in an outstanding Prep School allows me to present new ideas, shape processes and improve the support we give to the children under our care. I am focused on mental health and the wellbeing of our children in practical ways and aim to develop confidence and resilience whilst making conversations about these topics the norm for young people. I want them to be fully prepared to care for themselves and their peers in future years, but also know how to access support when they need it. Pro-active safeguarding systems and processes aim to reduce the impact on our children and better-support our staff - how the system works really interests me. I am constantly looking to further develop what we do and question how we can improve it. My previous military experience has instilled a strong work ethic, further developed my insistence on high moral standards and allowed me to develop my own style of leadership.
