About Phil Thoennes

Phil is an experienced Program Management Executive with a 20-year background leading the development and operations of Program Management Offices and strategic programs – enabling top companies and organizations to quickly realize tangible return on investment into products, services, and key initiatives. Phil began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) where he focused on process improvement, project & program management, and turnaround operations for Waste Management Company (WM), Delta Air Lines, and Habitat for Humanity. From 2007 through early 2016, he continued building his expertise at North Highland, Slalom, and Verizon in the areas of Enterprise & Executive PMO, business transformation, and change management for AT & T, McKesson, SunTrust, Georgia Department of Public Health, First Data, The Coca-Cola Company, and The Home Depot. Before joining Transform in January 2024, Phil was an independent Executive PMO Consultant for The Coca-Cola Company having been engaged in 2016 to lead the Executive PMO for the company’s global transformation of bottling operations re-franchising and consumer products – including global SAP and S/4 HANA implementations, and global supply chain process reengineering. Over his 20+ years of experience, Phil has established and led PMOs at organizations across multiple industries and verticals – reporting directly to the CEOs and most senior executives of these organizations. Amongst other noted accomplishments, he has successfully managed budgets of over $350+ Million in capital investment, accelerated 5-year transformations by 2 years without compromising quality, and simultaneously implemented organizational design, processes, governance, and portfolio management tools across 27 geographic markets. Phil holds certifications in Project Management (PMP), Scrum Master (CSM), Lean Six Sigma, and Change Management (Prosci). He earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Management Information Systems and Finance from the University of Florida, a Master of Science (MS) in Economic Development and Geographic Information Systems from Clemson University, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Marketing and Management from Rider University.
