About Philip Baptist

My story. Chapter one: I was born June 22nd 1964 in Hasselt, a small and nice town in Limburg where I spent my childhood and teenage years and still am living. In those years which I don’t remember very well, I went to school, loved to play sports, was forced to learn to play the piano (which I didn’t do and still regret enormously, but it still explains my current interest in music). At 18 I started studying at the PHIV to become a nurse and 4 years later I did my army service in Germany (worked in an Army hospital as a nurse) before starting to apply for a job. Very quickly I also find one and switched very regularly which helped me to find out what I really liked to do. Chapter two: the Norgine era I started working for Norgine and married my wife Greetje in May 1991. Norgine has now been my second family for 30 years and more. During these amazing years I built up my professional and human skills, I travelled the world and met amazing people. We got two sons, Arthur and Dries, who grew up to become great guys who have a huge passion for watches. I covered a lot of job roles and responsibilities in those 30 exiting years. Norgine corporate culture of striving to improve, leading by example and client first enabled the professional I am today. Chapter three: what's next? Sincerely I don’t know… Norgine changed a lot in those 30 years and continues to evolve. I continue to love working for Norgine and maybe other roles will come in the future. The global pandemic has changed everyone’s perspective and priorities are being updated. For sure I still want to get inspired and inspire people… Chapter four: 2024 passed by like a whirlwind. So has my career at Norgine. Started in May 1991 and suddenly ended this year after yet another reorganisation. It has been a very nice adventure in which I have learned and enjoyed a tremendous amount. It has made me who I am today! Ready to start a new chapter or new book!
