Philip is a Corporate Partner, acting on all aspects of mergers and acquisitions, with a particular focus on private equity transactions. Philip has a broad experience of advising on acquisitions, disposals and joint ventures, advising on private equity transactions (acting for both private equity houses on executing their investments and managing their portfolio companies, as well as advising companies and management teams during new investments), as well as corporate re-organisations and general corporate advice. Regularly ranked as a Next Generation Partner in The Legal 500 (2021, 2022 & 2023), Philip was noted as being a pivotal member of the team that takes the lead on many of the most significant private equity/venture capital deals handled by the firm and described in a client testimonials as "a very personable, experienced transactional lawyer, who is capable of taking a commercial position and giving sensible and pragmatic advice" and "an outstanding, commercially astute young partner" who's "a safe pair of hands, and easy to work with".
