I am a professional Mariner with over 25 years’ experience with a valid UK Masters Certificate of Competence (Unlimited) and a full dynamic positioning certificate. I have a strong academic background in Nautical Science and I am a member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers and hold an Associate Fellowship with the Nautical Institute. I have a proven track record of delivering the safe movement and management of vessels, protection of client assets and adherence to work permits for offshore construction projects within the Oil and Gas sector. I have a wide range of skills including seamanship, navigation, maritime law and meteorology. As a Vessel Master I place great importance on maintaining the safe and efficient operation of the vessel including seaworthiness, ships safety and security, cargo operations, navigation, crew management and certification and ensuring that the vessel complies with local and international laws. I maintain the highest standards of Health and Safety rigorously applying HSQE and SOLAS requirements at sea. As a Marine Client Consultant / Rig-Move Master my experience has included the installation, repair and demolition of subsea/topside assets employing dive, ROV, jack-up vessels, spud-barges and derrick lay barges. I have also had extensive experience in developing and deploying IT solutions to support marine operations. I've also gained experience as a USV (Uncrewed Surface Vessel) Pilot. This involved the remote piloting of an USV whilst undertaking seabed survey operations to ensure the safe operation of the vessel and safety of navigation.
