About Philip Byrne

Ambitious. Focused. Dependable. With over 15 years industry experience providing support, diagnostics and client interfacing, I am a qualified Infrastructure Engineer, Operations/Technical Manager and ICT Consultant, with experience managing ICT teams. As a skilled project manager with the ability to multitask in order to manage several projects running concurrently, I know how to keep my team motivated and feeling supported. I am an excellent communicator with the ability to explain technical issues in a clear and concise manor, accessible at all levels of technical ability, and I am team-orientated, with a willingness to collaborate. The quality that has really got my to where I am today is my focus and ambition. Having left school with no formal qualifications and working as a fork lift driver, I knew I wanted more and needed to up my game to support my young family. I took my computer ‘hobby’ and worked my way up through a government funded course for A+ and Network + and excelled, spending all my available time on courses and putting what I learnt into practice, eventually becoming qualified in 27 Dell certificates. At the time I was one of 2 Level 4 Dell Engineers in the country and my technical career really began. I currently work remotely from Indonesia as an ICT Consultant, providing Interim Management, Training, Technical Project Management, Consultancy, Design and implementation on VMware, Microsoft and Security products locally in South East Asia and remotely worldwide. Given my ability to self-motivate and my desire to succeed in all I try, remote working suits me well and it still allows me to use my technical, networking and management skills, reaching people worldwide. When I’m not working, you will find me playing guitar, spending time with my family, or most likely engaged in technology (just for fun!). I love what I do, and this shows through in work. I am a natural problem solver and I go the extra mile because doing so gives me job satisfaction.
