About Philip Campbell

Philip Campbell has almost twenty years adult correctional experience, has worked at three Kentucky Department of Corrections facilities, and is currently Deputy Warden of Programs and Operations at the Kentucky State Reformatory (KSR) in LaGrange, KY. He began his career as a Correctional Officer and worked his up through the ranks of caseworker, unit administrator, and administrative supervisor to his current position, which he’s held since 2018. Philip’s areas of responsibility are inmate classification, inmate programming, inmate records, food service, recreation, religious services, the inmate library and legal office, academic programs, and the institutional cemetery. He also considers himself the unofficial historian of KSR, a notable Kentucky facility dating all the way back to 1937. Campbell is certified in Incident Command 100 – 800 and Advanced Operation Section Chief, has visited and audited many other correctional facilities, is a 2016 Commissioner's Executive Leadership Program graduate, and has won two Kentucky Department of Corrections Achievement Awards (2015 and 2017). Philip is a 2004 graduate of Western Kentucky University.
