About Philip Chen

Our future depends on energy. And it’s an honor to work among those bringing clean and reliable energy to developing countries. I’ve been fortunate to have a 20+ year career that let me travel the world. With projects in- China - Japan - Vietnam - Thailand - Singapore …Along with Australia, the US, and Eastern Europe. Working across different regions, cultures, and political climates has been a great challenge. But finding ways to overcome these obstacles brings me deep satisfaction. I’ve also had the pleasure of working under excellent leaders at some of the world’s largest energy companies on some of the world’s most impactful energy projects. While my academic pursuits have introduced me to lifelong friends from Australia, the practical application of this knowledge has proven significantly more beneficial over the years. And that came from numerous mentors to whom I owe much gratitude. They shared expertise that allows me to design commercially viable LNG projects for new countries. I also believe that understanding the internal dynamics of countries, companies, and contractors is the key to giving projects the best chance at success.
